On big days I try to always start early enough that I'm never rushed. Arriving well before we start shooting allows me moments of peace, a chance to enjoy a meal or treat and find a good groove. Friday was a big wedding photography day for us but we still found time to relax at Lincoln Mall while waiting for our bride to arrive for her make up session at Mac with an amazing Nespresso ice cream and coffee concoction that was refreshing as well as uplifting ;) My grandmother loved people watching and I've picked it up from her. I always wonder about the stories unfolding around me. One thing that is so different today then when I was growing up with her is all the phones. I can't help but wonder how many conversation never happen, how many soul mates or best friends don't cross paths. Much love to us all, I love my iPhone as well and am just as guilty of using one to avoid feeling bored but it seems like on such a beautiful day in an amazing city maybe there are other things we could be doing? Lol, grin, maybe not. But some kind of kiddos to the last man, he may have drawn a lot of looks, but he was enjoying his day and wasn't worried about using his phone.
